Last year, one of our Resource Center contributors, Shelly Alcorn, CAE, became deeply inspired by a paper titled, Positive Organization Development: Innovation-inspired Change in an Economy and Ecology of Strengths, by David Cooperrider and Lindsey N. Godwin at Case Western. Shelly saw that in our daily Association lives, although we attempt to think innovatively, we often borrow common business terminology that can actually detract from the mission of associations and essentially “block us in” from reaching our goals. She went on to ask herself the question, “How can we change our language and mindset to better serve the work we do?” |

This month we’re happy to share Shelly's answer to that question in her fantastic new ebook, Words Make Worlds - How "Corporate" Language & Ideology are Sabotaging Your Association. It offers a refreshing new look at association management and strategy with remarkable insight.

Put Affiniscape's Newest Features into Practice in Your Association
The Affiniscape engineers have just released brand new functionality for your software, but the work doesn’t stop there. It is time to put the new functions and features into practice. Many of the ideas for our release functions come directly from you, our partners. So, when we create new functionality you should take advantage of it right away.
This is where the Affiniscape Training Department comes in! The training department is always hard at work updating all the documentation and videos that are directly affected by any changes made to your system, so you can take advantage of them as soon as possible.
You may not know this but just one small change to your software can affect several different sets of notes and numerous videos. Just for this last release the training team updated 4 videos and created 7 new ones just for you. We also created two brand new sets of documentation notes, one for Membership Registration Forms and another for Importing into your database.
The most important part of our releases is that you put the new and improved functionality into practice within your association. Many of our improvements will help you refine your processes within your software and could save you time and money.
The latest and greatest documentation and videos for our current release are now available.
Remember that the download section of your support center always has the most updated notes available, and the video page is growing almost as fast, with even more information!
